Die cutting is a finishing process for creating a custom shaped print. After the item is printed it goes back on press, but instead of being pressed against a printing plate it’s pressed into a custom made sharpened steel die. This shape is made from a digital file and can be used to cut a shape completely out or kiss-cut labels.
Along with cutting, dies can be made with creases, perforations and hole punches.
Most die cutting jobs are a combination of a few of these.
The die setup cost varies based on intricacy and size, but they are reusable almost indefinitely. We’ll keep your die on file and the die setup is a one time charge.
